What is an advanced apprenticeship?

The Advanced Apprenticeship may provide a more direct route to technical, supervisory or junior management roles.You will be in full-time employment and receive an appropriate wage. The training programme requires the achievement of NVQ level 3, Technical Certificates level 2 and 3 and all relevant Key Skills.

An Advanced Apprenticeship can not only provide a route to higher education and NVQs at Levels 4 and 5, it will also give you the opportunity to become a member with CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers), CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineers) & IET (Institution of Emgineering & Technology). 

With your CIBSE, CIPHE & IET membership, you will be able to continue your career progression by applying for an Engineer Technician status.  The Eng Tech status can only be achieved by having completed an NVQ Level 3 during your apprenticeship. 

                                              

 

 

 

If you take up an Advanced Apprenticeship, you will be training towards becoming a qualified craftsperson at a higher level. An Advanced Apprenticeship takes up to four years, giving you a more in-depth grounding in your chosen profession.
