Tutor Matt Hollis has lectured at City College for the last nine years during which BEST has always been present, however, the last two years have been their most fruitful as Matt explained: "With newly appointed training advisor Don Anderson, a relationship has grown in which we closely work together monitoring and reviewing each of BEST's students from entry to completion with a good success rate in completions and full framework achievers."

With a College devised individual learning plan for each student, BEST agrees a training schedule that not only monitors students' attendance and punctuality, but with regular reviews, checks that the students are up to date with their technical certificate, their workplace evidence and their required site visits.

Matt added: "BEST takes an active role with college reviews and in cases where areas of concern are highlighted, BEST immediately takes action working with a student's employer."

City College is certainly thankful for BEST's continuing support and Matt summarised: "BEST is the link between the college and the employer allowing the college to do what we do best - delivering industry training and knowledge assessment for first day apprentices, through to fully qualified level 3 craftsmen."
