Electrical Wiring Regulations Updated

A combination of new technologies, products and continuing harmonization mean that the Wiring Regulations have to be regularly updated to incorporate changes. The 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2008), published in January 2008, will come into effect from the 1 July 2008. From then on all commercial, domestic and industrial wiring installations must be designed, constructed, inspected, tested and certificated to meet the requirements of BS 7671: 2008.

Electricians in each sector will need to demonstrate a complete understanding of the new wiring regulations. Through City & Guilds approved centres in England and Wales, BEST Electrical Assessment services offers courses and assessments covering the 17th edition regulations.
