Skills Pay!

Mar 16 2009

Stand out in your market place with Government funded, work-based qualification programmes for all building services, mechanical and electrical industries.

To work on large construction sites or local authority programmes, you will increasingly need a SkillsCard or other proof of competency. If you don’t have these then you risk missing out on potential opportunities – not least the 2012 Olympics.

Training will help you and your business become more efficient, productive, competitive and more profitable – skills pay.

Train to Gain is the flagship skills funding initiative of the Government and, through BEST, enables installers to be assessed and trained in the work-place to achieve an industry recognised NVQ.

BEST will provide an Assessor to guide you and your business through the steps necessary for completion of the qualification. Typically taking three to six months, this process will ensure eligibility for a SkillsCard or certificate of competency.

One of BEST’s industry qualified assessors will visit your company to explain the programme and undertake a quick training needs analysis to identify the most beneficial training solution for you. Each employee involved will receive an individual training plan as well as regular support/assessment visits to enable them to complete their qualification.

All programmes are accredited under the City & Guilds national qualification schemes for Building Services and are delivered under the BEST national assessment centre at a location to suit you. Our assessors are industry professionals’ with first-hand experience relevant to your business.
