BEST SNAPS UP FIVE AWARDS AT WALES TRAINING AWARDS

Building & Engineering Services Training (BEST Ltd), leading UK training provider for the M & E sector and in the recent annual Wales Training awards ceremony, BEST apprentices in the Wales region showed outstanding achievement within their apprenticeships.
 
At the Wales Training Group Awards organised in association with our main sponsors Pegler Yorkshire and SC Moore Ltd at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff BEST picked up five awards. Over 110 nominees and guests were present at this highly successful event.
 
With a record number of nominations, the judges increased the number of the award categories and added merit awards, to capture the high number and level of nominations.
 
The awards were presented by Heating & Ventilating Contractors Association (HVCA) President, Martin Burton, BEST CEO Dr. Mark Brenner, Welsh parliamentary Jeff Cuthbert and HVCA CEO Robert Higgs. The event turned out to be an exceptionally good night for the BEST apprentices that were nominated.
 
On the award night, Chairman of Wales Training Group, Dennis Hooper presented a memento to HVCA CEO Robert Higgs as a thank you for his services in the association.
 
BEST apprentices swept the board by having all 5 winners in the 4 H&V Industrial/Commercial categories.
 
BEST award winners are:
 
Heating & Ventilating Industrial Commercial – Junior Apprentice Award - joint winners Chris Carmody (Whitehead Building Services) and Michael Arnold (F P Hurley & Sons)
 
Heating & Ventilating Industrial Commercial – Intermediate Apprentice AwardLee Taylor (Whitehead Building Services)
 
Heating & Ventilating Industrial Commercial – Senior Apprentice Award (year 3) – Iain Kenniford (Lorne Stewart Plc)
 
Heating & Ventilating Industrial Commercial – Senior Apprentice Award (year 4)– Thomas Price (CMB Engineering)
 
Dr. Mark Brenner, CEO of BEST congratulated the winners on their awards.
He said: “I am delighted to congratulate our winners at these prestigious awards, who are all testament to the way in which BEST works closely and effectively with colleges, and employers. The self motivation and discipline exhibited by all award winners has been rightly recognised by their industry at an event they will hopefully cherish on their way to a rewarding career”
 
The award ceremony proved once again to be a great night and a great achievement by all of the winners.
