BEST Apprentice wins the “Richard Bostel Service Technician award”

A 20 year old technical apprentice with Gratte brothers under the training management of Building & Engineering Services Training Ltd (BEST) has won a top award from the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) for his exceptional skills and services.
The Richard Bostel Service Technician of the Year award is a national award given by the Service and Facilities Group (SFG) of the Building and Engineering Services Association (formerly HVCA). The award is named in honour of the late Richard Bostel, former Managing Director of HVCA member Company Bostel Bros Ltd. Richard was a founder member of the Service and Facilities Group and remained on the Executive Committee until his untimely death in November 2007.
James Hounslow is employed as a service and maintenance apprentice working on multi-tenanted office premises in the heart of the city, managed by Gratte Brothers clients BNP Paribas Real Estate.

Delighted James said “In the future I would like to progress in the maintenance industry, gradually taking on more responsibility on my own site, eventually leading to a management position. I have been inspired by this opportunity and look forward to gaining more knowledge, experience and advancing in this important service industry.”

They have also intimated that because of the success of the venture, they will consider introducing apprentices to other sites in partnership with Gratte Brothers.”
