Site Management Safety Training Scheme

This course (SMSTS) is now recognised as the leading course for safety in the construction industry and allows holders of the qualification to prove their skills to contractors and clients. Many leading construction companies now insist that all their site management hold this certificate.

The programme provides delegates with a thorough understanding of the key health and safety issues on site. It helps managers to develop a better understanding of the moral and social responsibilities of their role, as well as giving them the skills and knowledge they need to manage health and safety on site.

Accident prevention.
Health and Safety system in Great Britain.
Health and Safety at Work, etc Act 1974.
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Health and Safety and the Manager.
Implementing Health and Safety legislation.
Construction Health and Safety including the Construction (Health Safety & Welfare) Regulations, the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations, The Working at height Regulations plus underground and overhead services, traffic & vehicle plans, fire precautions and confined spaces etc.
The working environment.
Health and Safety management on site including work equipment and lifting operations.
Management of sub-contractors.
Health and Safety management on site including COSHH, noise at work, vibration, working with asbestos, manual handling etc.
Monitoring Health and Safety at the workplace.
Site instructions.
Health and Safety communications and training.
